In Bangla, the term "pitha" refers to an indigenous cuisine item that is popular throughout our Bangladesh. The most prominent examples are sweet meals like as bhapa pitha, patishapta, dudher shondesh, and so on. "Utshob" means "festival" in contrast. Pitha utshob is thus a magnificent show in Bangladesh during the winter season where people gather to set up stalls and sell their homemade pithas. Pithas are typically made using sugar, molasses, milk, palm syrup/date juice, and occasionally coconut. Bhapa Pitha: Steamed rice cakes made with pulverized rice flour, molasses, and optionally grated coconut. Dudh Chitoi: Steamed "pancakes" composed of rice flour and soaked in a thick milk and molasses syrup.

Some, on the other hand, can be savory when stuffed with cauliflower, potato, or cabbage. Pithas have no formulaic preparation; each pitha has its own recipe. Puli Pitha (sweet): Steamed dumplings packed with a delectable blend of veggies or lentils and toasted spices. Jhaal Pitha: A rice flour dough flavored with turmeric and ginger that is packed and fried with egg and vegetables. Pitha Utshob, along from the divine dishes, entails people having a nice time together. Everyone dresses traditionally in sarees for women and panjabi-pajamas for males. They put on traditional-stitch sweaters and shawls and enjoy the gentle chill. Musical and dance performances are held next to the pitha vendors. Everyone joins in on the singing and becomes a part of Bangladesh's friendly community. While most participants at this festival display their pitha-making skills to clients, others also display their artwork and handicrafts. Pitha Utshob is more than just a celebration of the delectable pithas; it is an event that brings hundreds of thousands of Bangladeshis together.
